I Need Help

So I'm going to be one of "those people" who solicits help for their parenting problems online. Embrace me.
My child won't sleep unless I am holding her. Naps, nighttime, everything. It was kind of endearing at first, and now it's just exhausting.

This is normal Lissie face:

This is "I have a feeling you're going to leave" face:

This is,"I'm a baby alone in the wilderness" aka I've been set down for a nap face:

I've tried cry it out. I really have. But look at that face above and YOU try and let her cry it out.

Okay, suggestion time.

Laundry and Harry Potter

So I've been through, like, four shirts today. Or I should say that Lisabeth has been through four shirts for me. The typical culprits: spit-up, pee, poop. But by the time I had my fourth shirt on and it was pooped on yet again, I found myself thinking: "Well, it's just a little poop. Maybe if I just take a rag....wow, wow, wait. It's poop Julie! Poop!" Sigh. So I went and changed my shirt. Who would have thought I would be rationalizing poop away just a few short months ago...
Huggies, we will use no more. You are dead to us.

Meanwhile, I had a Harry Potter Party at my house last week. It was rockin' awesome. We had a sorting,  a trivia quidditch game, lots of Harry Potter foods, and dressing up. I was Prof. Trelawney for those who are wondering and Lissie is Hedwig. It's the best I could do for her.

Yes, I am that much of a nerd. But at least I am a happy nerd!

Lisabeth's last four months in review

I do have a daughter. And she is growing. Now here are the pictures:

She loves to go swimming at the pool and she loves her bath. She likes to look at other people, especially other little kids. The other day when I was at a friend's house, she couldn't stop looking at my friend's little girls. She kept grunting and moving her body so she could get down and play. She's rolling over both ways now too. She's easy to smile, which is too fun. We love our little girl!
